 Golden Wave is a common flower that can be seen everywhere along the roads in Korea. It is especially used to decorate safety zones along highways and national roads, and because it blooms well even in harsh environments, beautiful flowers bloom from June to September in Korea just by sowing seeds. Therefore, it is also a flower often used for landscaping.

 However, this flower grows straight up, has a gently curved curve at the end, and is distributed as a cut flower product due to its ability to maintain its strength for a long time. The price is very affordable, so it can also be used as a substitute for 'cosmos' or 'egg chrysanthemum'.

 The shape of the flower is also similar to cosmos, so it is sometimes mistakenly distributed as yellow cosmos. However, if you look closely, you can see that there are many differences in the shape and size of the leaves, and while cosmos blooms in late summer, Golden Wave starts flowering in early summer and is on the market. It is sown early.

Characteristics of Golden Wave

 

 Golden Wave is Lance-leaved tickseed in English and is a flower of the Asteraceae family, also called peacock chrysanthemum or hornbeam. Its scientific name is Corropsis drummondii. The height is about 50~80cm, and in the cut flower state, it lasts for 3~5 days before gradually losing strength and falling over. When distributed, it is sold in bundles (1 bunch) and since the leaves attached to the stem are used in an organized manner, some care must be taken in conditioning.

How a florist uses Golden Wave

 

 When it comes to using Golden Wave , it is categorized as a mass flower, but the shape of the stem is pretty and elegant, so one of the good ways is to use it as a line flower, using a few stems to express a line. However, because of the charm of the slightly transparent yellow petals, it is stylish to use it as a mass flower to decorate the surrounding area by lighting up the focal point.

 When making a bouquet, you can use it to fill the bottom of large-faced flowers, or, in line with the recent trend of simple bouquets with monotonous designs, you can create a cone-shaped bouquet by combining it with sagebrush or various rice flowers.

 It is rather useful in flower baskets and centerpieces, and in particular, centerpieces are thought to be a simple material that brightens up an antique and soft place by creating an atmosphere with the unique wild flower feel of Golden Wave.
